Cornwall has a lot to offer whether it is our beautiful countryside or picturesque coastline and here are some of our top tips of some Cornish gems that are worth a look in while exploring the region

1. Porth Joke Beach

Newquay is famous for its bright lights and party town atmosphere. But it also has something to offer for those looking for a quieter more chilled out experience. The town has some of the county's most stunning beaches and one of those and well worth a drive out to is Porth Joke.

Just north of the beach is Crantock and to the south Hollywell Bay. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the beach for you offering stunning views and family friendly atmosphere with ample parking for the campervan.

2. Caerhays

Where do the rich and famous rent a venue for a lavish party in Cornwall ? Well if your Tim Burton or Helena Bonham Carter the answer is Caerhays Castle and estate. Situated at the end of St Austell Bay before meeting the Roseland Pennisula Caerhays offers a beautiful beach with plenty of parking and easy access to the beach as well as spring Gardens and the castle itself which offer tours to the public throughout the spring summer and autumn months.
A popular spot with locals and visitors alike Caerhays beach and castle offers something for everyone

3. Hollywell Bay

Just situated a few clicks down the coast from the gorgeous Porth Joke beach, fans of a certain BBC period drama might recognise the beautiful backdrop of Hollywell Bay. Yes that's right, this is one of the many Cornish locations used in the popular Poldark series.  A fantastic beach with plenty of space and something for all the family. Whether you want to explore the rolling dunes, walk across the coast path with stunning views to the North and south or just catch a memorable sunset, Hollywell Bay is for you and a must stop visit on your Cornish adventure.

4. Bodmin Moor

Time to check out things a little bit more in land now. Who said Cornwall is only famous for its beaches? We also have quite the beautiful landscapes and scenery in the countryside as well. Bodmin Moor is renowned for its natural beauty and we recommend everyone to spend some time exploring the moor. It's perfect for the van with a number of places to pitch up and watch the stars at night from. The moor also offers walks to the peak of Brown Willy (Cornwalls highest point) and a chance to ghost hunt or watch a murder mystery evening at the famous Jamaica Inn bar and restaurant.

5. The Lizard and Roseland Peninsulas

Not an actual lizard, but the area in Cornwall known as the Lizard offers some of the county's most picturesque and stunning coastline . If the North Coast of Cornwall is rugged and famous for its Atlantic swells, then the South Coast has to be recognised for its pristine and post card perfect coastal geography featuring the Lizard and the Roseland Peninsulas.
There is so much to explore we don't know where to start ... Kynance Cove, Kennack Sands, St Michaels Mount, the south west coastal path and St Mawes are locations that have something for everyone despite the weather or time of year...

So there you have it. Just a handful of adventures that Cornwall and Cornwall Campervan Adventures has to offer this summer and beyond.  The best thing about hiring our campervan is the freedom to explore these places and once you hit the open road in the van you will find out for yourself that there are many many more...
